Samsung Series 9 – The Notebook to Beat
Samsung is on the roll with their portable devices as they released their new Series 9 notebooks. Primarily designed with mobility and aesthetics in mind, the Series 9 features a duralumin enclosure infused with sexy curves and solid durability. Duralumin boasts twice the strength of aluminum and even less the weight making it ideal for notebook applications. The minimalist external design also features a backlit keyboard, an edge-to-edge widescreen and a large multi-touch track pad. The High Definition SuperBright screen comes in 340 to 400 nits brightness allowing clear viewing without the nasty glare and reflections even under direct sunlight.
Inside, it’s run by the latest Intel Core i5 processor with efficient power management. If the notebook needs that extra processing power, Intel’s Turbo Boost Technology goes into action and delivers that extra “oomph!” to meet the performance demands. To further enhance speed, performance and energy efficiency, Samsung opted for a 128 GB Solid State Drive as its choice of storage device.
3 seconds. That’s the time it takes for the Samsung netbook to go into a powerless sleep mode when you close the lid, and that’s the same time it takes to wake up when you open the lid – all thanks to Fast Start technology. Fast Start can also save data and system configurations in the hard drive allowing it to wake up in the state you turned it off. Furthermore, Series 9 can work non-stop for up to 7 hours in single charge thanks to its Samsung’s advanced Lithium-Polymer battery PowerPlus charging technology. Overall, the Samsung Series 9 is the notebook to beat in terms of speed, power and energy efficiency.
